The Department of Energy has launched its “Bright Now! Do Right. Be Bright. Go E-trike!” design and electric tricycle contest.
1. Open to all Filipino citizens of age 18 and above, individual or group.
2. Must generate 2D and 3D computer-aided drawings of the best aesthetic and functional design of Philippine E-trike look (AutoCAD).
3. Entries should feature a design that can accommodate a maximum of six passengers excluding driver.
4. The entry must be a three-wheeled electric vehicle.
Energy Secretary Jose Rene Almendras said the winning design can be use in Metro Manila and in the provinces as they promote a rural electric vehicle or RUV.
The electric tricycle program is a partnership between DOE and the Asian Development Bank.
